India build its own GPS. Indigenous signposted system, seventh Satellite IRNSS-1G is launched from Srihrikota, Andhra Pradesh, on Thursday. The satellite was launched on the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). Prime minister Narendra Modi give name her NAVIC. An area of 1,500 km from Indian boundaries will be covered under the navigational system. Officials of ISRO said the Indian system will provide, With an accuracy of 20 meter.
The GPS will benefit in the defence forces, Vehicle tracking, disaster management and Smart Phones have data directly from Satellite.
Besides India, countries have own GPS, the US Global Position System (GPS), the Russian Glonass, China’s BeiDou and Galileo of Europe.
